Del Sol Turf-type Bermudagrass
Turf-type Bermudagrass

Description

A significant improvement over common bermudagrass, Del Sol will produce a dark green turf of medium-fine texture. Because of its improved turf characteristics, Del Sol can be mowed at lower mowing heights without scalping.

Del Sol is the product of years of turfgrass research. Developed by Dr. Judy Brede at the Arizona Research Station, Del Sol is the product of cross breeding multiple clonal selections which exhibited desirable characteristics for bermudagrass turf. Clones which expressed superior performance attributes were chosen as the potential material which became “Del Sol”.

To determine whether a cultivar's performance is truly different from another, subtract one entry's mean from another entry's mean. If this value is larger than the LSD value, the observed difference in cultivar performance is significant and did not happen by chance.
